Gotham Entertainment Group, India bringing in desi incarnations of western comic heroes. As Spider-Man, Pavitr leaps around rickshaws and scooters in Indian streets, while swinging from monuments such as the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal.

Will it work? I personally do not think so. I think the Indian markets are so westernised, at least for consumers of these comic characters, that playing around with the integrity of these characters may actually be counterproductive in that these consumers will really want the "real" thing- not some weak desi-fication of the original. Imagine Superman with a turban.....
