Spiderman with a sarong...

Gotham Entertainment Group, India bringing in desi incarnations of western comic heroes. Quote: "...Readers of this series will not see the familiar Peter Parker of Queens under the classic Spider-Man mask, but rather a new hero – a young, Indian boy named Pavitr Prabhakar. As Spider-Man, Pavitr leaps around rickshaws and scooters in Indian streets, while swinging from monuments such as the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal.
....."

Will it work? I personally do not think so. I think the Indian markets are so westernised, at least for consumers of these comic characters, that playing around with the integrity of these characters may actually be counterproductive in that these consumers will really want the "real" thing- not some weak desi-fication of the original. Imagine Superman with a turban.....

you have to ask what is nokia's interest in keeping mozilla alive...

i think that the browser may well become the key platform going forward for mobile learning. i.e. rather than agonize over how to develop for both palm and pocketpc, perhaps we should also consider just developing for the mobile phone browser....that would provide a more portable platform. (apart from formfactor issues which are anyway there even in developing direct for the palm or the pocketpc)

you have to ask what is nokia's interest in keeping mozilla alive...

Why would SAP want to merge with Microsoft?

I can understand why Microsoft would want to explore a merger with SAP. Microsoft may not be able to push more tools to the desktop. Where will its growth come from? Hence it is looking to forward integrate into the application space. Witness its acquisitions of axapta, great plains, navision..... but whatever was in it for SAP? to grown into the Small and Medium businesses that ostensibly Microsoft could provide?
